Frisby Players
is a small, informal amateur dramatic group which was formed in 1995.
Since then we have staged various comedies, farces and other events.
The Players' purpose, apart from our own enjoyment, is to provide
entertainment to village residents and friends while raising funds for local
causes and organisations mainly in our own village and in the Parish of the
Upper Wreake. To date we have raised around £5,500 which has been
distributed to the Village Hall, the church, the local school and pre-school,
cricket club etc.

Hall2. Following his bedridden role as the hypochondriac in "Bedroom Farce", Tim Page was snapped up by BBC's "Casualty".
3. Alan King, the one man band, who juggles, plays instruments, acts, sings and has even his own wind section, has never been known to blow his own trumpet.
4. Julie Phillip's Great Grandfather invented the screwdriver - what a great drink that is!
5. Di Widdowson has appeared in many farces over the years, some of her own making. She at first felt typecast as the maid, but having made a clean sweep of awards is usually open to any offers.
6. Di Patterson has made some appearances in Tesco and even Asda in Nottingham. Her many other credits include several leading department stores, the odd bookmaker and of course the bar at the Bell.
7. Mike Patterson once appeared on World of Sport, just behind the Goal, third from the left in the second row.
8. Mark Attlee has played a leading role in the West End (of Frisby). He has never appeared in the Bill and very rarely pays any.
